Put a stamp on a PDF, Word or Excel document

Drop your PDF, Word or Excel file here

PDF, Word (.docx) or Excel (.xlsx). Nothing is uploaded, it opens in this browser.

Browse files

Drag your stamp onto the page, set the date, and download the finished file. There is no account to make and no software to install. The document is opened in your browser and is never uploaded, so nothing you stamp here reaches us or anybody else.

All three formats are shown to you as pages, so you place the stamp by looking at the page rather than guessing at a corner. A PDF is drawn page by page. A Word .docx is laid out the way Word draws it, with its own page size and page breaks. An Excel .xlsx is laid out the way Excel prints it: your paper size, orientation, margins, column widths and number formats, with any print title rows repeated at the top of each page.

To sign and stamp a pdf, place a signature image and the seal as two stamps on the same page: a signature and stamp together is the usual requirement, and putting stamp and signature on pdf pages is the same operation done twice.

There is a watermark too, if the document needs one. A word (DRAFT, PAID, CONFIDENTIAL) or your own logo, in any colour, at any size and angle, dragged to where it belongs on the page rather than fixed to the middle of it, and applied to every page at once.

How it works

  1. Choose the PDF, Word or Excel file. It is read into memory in your browser, not sent anywhere.
  2. Choose your stamp, or design one in the stamp maker first. A transparent PNG works best.
  3. Click the page where the stamp goes, then drag it to move it and the corner to resize it.
  4. Turn the date on if the document needs one. It is written into the stamp before it is applied.
  5. Add a watermark across every page if you want one, and drag it where it should sit.
  6. Download the stamped copy. Your original file is untouched.

What it costs

Doing the work costs nothing. You only pay at the last step, when you download the finished file: $2.00 for that document, paid with an email address rather than an account. On any paid plan it is included, up to the monthly allowance of your tier.

That is deliberate. Nobody should have to subscribe to something they have not seen work, so the whole job is open and only the result is charged for.

Common questions

Do I need an account to stamp a PDF?

No. You can choose the document, place the stamp and set the date without signing in. Downloading the finished file costs $2.00 and takes an email address, not an account.

Can I add a stamp to a Word document?

Yes. A .docx is laid out into pages in your browser, the way Word draws it, so you click the page where the stamp goes. The copy you download has the stamp as part of the page rather than as a picture sitting on top of it. Older .doc files need saving as .docx first.

Can I add a stamp to an Excel spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload the .xlsx and the workbook is laid out as the pages Excel would print, so you place the stamp on a real page. You can download it back as Excel or as a PDF. Charts, pictures and pivot tables are not drawn, so a sheet that is mostly a chart is better exported to PDF first.

Is my document uploaded anywhere?

No. All three formats are processed inside your browser. The file never reaches a server, which is also why the work stays in the tab while you pay.

Can the stamp carry today’s date?

Yes. Turn the date on and it is drawn into the stamp before it is applied, so the document carries the day it was actually stamped.

Can I stamp every page at once?

Yes, there is a button for it. It puts a stamp in the same place on every page, and each one can then be moved on its own.

Can I put a watermark on it as well?

Yes. A word or your own logo, in any colour, size and angle, dragged to where it should sit and applied across every page.
