About Estamplab

Estamplab is a browser-based stamp and seal maker. You design a company stamp, an official seal or an everyday office mark on screen, and you download it as a file you can put straight onto a PDF, a Word document or a spreadsheet. There is no app to install, no account needed to start, and nothing to wait for in the post.

Why it exists

Almost every document that asks for a stamp is now a file. An invoice in PDF, a quotation attached to an email, a form filled in on a phone at a client's table. The stamp, meanwhile, is a piece of rubber in a drawer at the office, which means the usual answer is to print the file, press the stamp on it, scan it back and send a worse copy of the document you started with. Estamplab removes that loop: the mark becomes a file too, so it goes where the document goes.

What you can make

Company stamps and seals

Registered name, company number and address on a rectangle, or the name curved around a ring for the formal round version. Both are the marks people mean when they ask for a company stamp or a company seal.

Office and document stamps

RECEIVED, PAID, COPY, CERTIFIED TRUE COPY, CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT. These are the ones pressed most often in a working day and they are usually the ones nobody plans for.

Dates that fill themselves in

A rubber date stamp prints whatever its bands were last set to, which on a Monday morning is Friday. A stamp built here can carry a date placeholder that resolves when the stamp is used.

Serial numbers that move on

For invoices, delivery notes, files and batches, a counter that advances by itself rather than one somebody has to remember.

Your logo, knocked out

Upload a logo and the white background is removed, so it prints like ink instead of arriving as a white box pasted over the page.

Files you own

A transparent PNG for documents, an SVG vector for scaling or for handing to an engraver, a print-ready PDF, and a Word file that keeps the date and serial as text.

How it works

  1. Pick a template. Every template opens with real wording already in place, so you edit rather than start from an empty circle. The gallery is organised by trade and by shape.
  2. Type your own details. The preview redraws as you type, at the size the stamp will actually print, which is the only size worth judging it at.
  3. Download and use it. Place it on a document, or take the vector to an engraver if you want the physical version cut as well.

What we do not do

We do not issue qualified electronic seals

In the EU an electronic seal is a defined instrument created with a qualified certificate from a trust service provider on a national trusted list. No design tool can issue one, including this one. What we make is the visible mark, which is a different thing and is often used alongside a seal rather than instead of it.

We do not give legal advice

The guides on this site describe common commercial practice. Where a stamp's content is regulated, and that covers notaries, professional bodies and healthcare, what may appear on it is set by the authority that requires the document.

We do not help anybody impersonate an institution

Make the stamp you are entitled to use. Reproducing the mark of a notary, a government office or a professional body without holding that position is forgery, and it is prohibited and prosecuted as such.

We do not upload the documents you stamp

The PDF stamping tool runs in your browser. A contract, a medical letter or a payroll file does not need to travel to a server to have a picture placed on it, so it does not.

Frequently asked questions

Is Estamplab free?

Designing and previewing is free, unlimited, and needs no account, and there is no watermark on the preview. The charge is for the downloaded file. A single format is $1.50 and every format in one zip is $3.00. Team plans are priced per seat so one saved stamp serves everybody rather than each person buying their own.

Do I need an account?

Not to design, preview or decide. An account exists so saved stamps, their serial counters and your download history follow you between devices.

What happens to a document I stamp?

Nothing leaves your machine. The PDF tool loads and saves the file in the browser.

Can I use the stamps commercially?

Yes. A stamp you design is yours to use on your own documents, including for your business, and the download carries no watermark.

Can I get a physical rubber stamp made from this?

Yes, and it is the sensible order: get the design right on screen where corrections are free, download the SVG, and take that to an engraver. A vector cuts far more cleanly than the photograph of an old impression that most workshops are handed.

Who is behind Estamplab?

A small team that built this after watching the same problem repeat: documents that live as files, and a stamp that lives in a drawer. Questions, corrections and complaints go to info@estamplab.com and reach a person.
