Date stamp

A stamp whose main content is a date, used to record when a document was received, paid or processed.

On a physical self-inking date stamp the date is set by rotating bands. On a digital one it can fill itself in at the moment the stamp is used.

A received stamp with a date and a time is what matters on a tender deadline or a court filing, where the hour decides whether something was in time.
