Asking an image model for a company stamp produces something that looks convincing at a glance and falls apart the moment somebody reads it. The text is nearly words. The circle is nearly round. The registration number is invented. That is fine for a mood board and useless on an invoice, because the entire job of a stamp is to carry specific information legibly. This page is about the difference, and about where a model genuinely does help.

Questions
Can AI make a company stamp?
It can make an image that looks like one. Current image models cannot reliably render specific text, so the company name and registration number come out as near-letters. On a document that is worse than no stamp, because it looks like a forgery attempt rather than a design choice.
Is an AI generated stamp legal to use?
The question is not really about AI. A stamp representing your own business is yours to use however it was drawn. A stamp representing a body you do not represent is a problem however it was drawn.
What about using AI for the logo inside the stamp?
That works, and it is the sensible division of labour. Generate or draw the emblem, then bring it in here, where the background is knocked out and the text is set properly around it.
Why does AI struggle with stamp text?
Image models generate pixels, not glyphs, so text is reconstructed from what text usually looks like. Small curved text on a ring is close to the worst case for that, which is why stamp images from models are almost always subtly wrong.
