Received date stamp maker for mailrooms and front desks

A received date stamp maker for offices logging incoming documents, where every impression carries the correct date without anyone setting it.

Open the stamp maker

On a front desk the stamp goes onto everything, all day, for years. The failure mode is not a bad design, it is the morning nobody turned the date wheel and forty documents went into the file dated yesterday.

What you get

How to make it

  1. Open the stamp maker and pick a shape, or start from a template.
  2. Type your wording, then set the colour, border and size.
  3. Add the date, time, serial number or logo, and position each one.
  4. Preview it live, then download. Designing and previewing are free.

Questions

We log dozens of items a day. Will the numbers collide?

No. The counter lives on the server and is incremented under a row lock on the stamp’s own row, so two tabs, two machines or two people on one account are queued rather than handed the same number.

Can several people use the same received stamp?

Yes. Save it once to the library and everyone downloading from that account draws from the same sequence.

Do we still need a paper register?

That is your call and depends on what you have to be able to prove. The stamp gives each item a unique number; the register is what tells you later what number 000418 actually was.
