A stamp drawn perfectly reads as clip art, because no real die presses evenly. The effect people are looking for is the opposite of clean: an outline that breaks, ink that thins where the block lifted, ring text that has worn. Most tools that promise a stamp effect apply a texture over the top, which looks like a texture over the top. Here the wear is applied across the border, the ring text and the centre together, so it reads as one impression.

Questions
How do I create a stamp effect online?
Type the text or upload the image, choose a border and a shape, then drag the Aging control up until it looks pressed rather than printed. Watch it at true size rather than zoomed in: wear that looks right at 400 per cent usually looks like damage at 40mm.
Can I convert an image to a rubber stamp?
Yes. Upload a logo or a photographed signature and the white background is removed as it loads, then the artwork is recoloured to the stamp ink so it reads as one impression instead of a colour sticker inside a ring. A high-contrast image converts far better than a photograph with soft edges.
Why does my stamp look fake rather than worn?
Almost always too much aging, or aging plus a very thin font. A real die loses ink at the edges of thick strokes first, so wear on hairline text just looks like the text is broken. Use a heavier weight and less aging.
Does the effect survive printing?
It prints exactly as shown, which is the problem: a press adds its own irregularity on top, and the two together read as a fault in the printing rather than character in the stamp. For anything going to paper, set aging to zero and let the press do it.
Is the download watermarked?
No. What you download carries your stamp and nothing else. Designing and previewing at full size is free, and a finished file is $1.50 for one format or $3.00 for all of them.
