Every preview on this page carries a faint Estamplab watermark. Your own download does not: the editor renders your stamp again, clean, as a transparent PNG, an SVG or a PDF. See the full template library.

Documents arrive in whatever format the sender had to hand: a PDF from a finance system, a Word contract from a lawyer, a photograph of a signed page from a site. The chop is the same in all three cases and the usual answer is not: print it, chop it, scan it, send it back, once per document. Handling the format at the tool instead of at the printer collapses that into one step.

How to make it

  1. Open the tool and drop your PDF or Word file onto the page.
  2. Pick a stamp from your library, or design one in the pop-up designer.
  3. Click the page where the stamp goes, then drag it or resize it from the corner.
  4. Download the stamped copy. Your original file is never modified.

Questions

How many chops does a company have?

More than one, in most of the region. The company chop represents the company itself; a finance chop is used for banking and invoices, a contract chop for agreements, an invoice chop for fapiao, and the legal representative has a personal chop. They are deliberately separated so that no single custodian can commit the company to everything.

Can I chop a Word document directly?

Yes. The document is laid out into pages in your browser the way Word draws it, so you place the chop on the page rather than fighting the picture wrap setting.

Can I chop a photo of a signed page?

Put the photo into a PDF first, which most phones do at the point of scanning, then upload that. It keeps the page size and the print resolution, which a bare image does not.

Does the chop need a date?

Not always, but many filing and approval processes want one, and a chop with the date inside it saves a separate date stamp. The date fills itself in on the day it is applied.

Is a chopped PDF as good as a chopped original?

For circulation and filing it is what most counterparties now accept. Where an original chopped hard copy is required, that requirement comes from the receiving party or the authority and is worth confirming before you rely on the electronic one.

Estamplab is a design tool. This page describes common commercial practice rather than giving legal, tax or financial advice, and practice changes. Where a specific document matters, check the requirement with the body receiving it. Only produce a mark your own organisation or your own credentials are entitled to use.
