The reason a seal in Word goes wrong is the default. Insert a picture and Word treats it as a letter in a sentence: it takes a line to itself and pushes everything below it down the page. A seal has to float over the text, which means changing the wrap setting to In Front of Text and then dragging it into place, every time. Uploading the document instead means the seal is already where you put it, and it is part of the page rather than an object sitting on it.

Questions
Why does my picture move the text down the page?
Because Word inserts a picture inline by default, treating it as a very large character in the paragraph. In Word you fix that by setting the wrap to In Front of Text. Here you do not have to: the seal is placed on the page rather than typed into the paragraph.
Can somebody remove the seal from the file I send them?
Not by dragging it. It is burned into the page rather than sitting on top as a separate picture, so there is no object to select or copy out. Nothing that ships as a file can stop a screenshot, but the obvious route is closed.
Will the stamped copy still be editable?
No, and that is deliberate. Burning the seal into the page is what makes it unliftable, and it means the stamped copy is a finished document rather than a draft. Your original file is untouched, so the editable version is still there.
Does it work with .doc files?
No, only .docx. An older .doc is a different, binary format. Open it in Word and save it as .docx first, which takes a few seconds.
Can I put the seal on page four?
Yes. The document is paginated in the browser and you click the page you want, the same as with a PDF.
