Every preview on this page carries a faint Estamplab watermark. Your own download does not: the editor renders your stamp again, clean, as a transparent PNG, an SVG or a PDF. See the full template library.
A rubber stamp on a PDF has to look like ink on paper, not like a sticker on a screenshot. That means a transparent background so the text underneath reads through the gaps, an ink colour that is not flat black, and enough irregularity that it reads as an impression. Getting all three from a picture found online rarely works. Making the stamp and placing it in the same tool does.
What you get
- Transparent by default, so the words underneath show through the gaps in the ink instead of being covered by a white box.
- Click the page where the stamp goes, then drag it or pull the corner to resize. The seal keeps its proportions, so a round stamp cannot end up as an oval.
- An aging control that decides how pressed the impression looks, from clean to well used.
- Any page, or every page, with each stamp placed on its own.
- The opacity slider gets it to sit over dense text without hiding a figure.
- Comes back as a PDF that prints exactly as it looks on screen.
How to make it
- Open the tool and drop your PDF or Word file onto the page.
- Pick a stamp from your library, or design one in the pop-up designer.
- Click the page where the stamp goes, then drag it or resize it from the corner.
- Download the stamped copy. Your original file is never modified.
Questions
Why does my stamp have a white box around it?
Because it is a JPG, or a PNG that was flattened onto white. A stamp needs a transparent background to look like ink. Stamps made here are transparent from the start, and a logo you upload has its white background knocked out.
Can I move the stamp after placing it?
Yes, drag it anywhere on the page, pull the bottom-right corner to resize it, and use the small cross to remove it. Nothing is committed until you download.
Can the stamp go behind the text?
It sits on top, with an opacity control so the text still reads through it. That is how a real stamp behaves on paper: the ink is on top of the print.
What colour should a rubber stamp be?
Blue is the usual working choice, because a black and white photocopy of a blue stamp still shows which copy is the original. Red reads as urgent and is conventional for VOID, PAID and CONFIDENTIAL. Black looks like part of the printing, which is occasionally what you want.
Does the stamped PDF keep its text?
Yes. The stamp is drawn onto the page and everything underneath stays selectable and searchable.
