An address stamp is the most-used stamp most businesses own, and the one people most often make badly. The failure is always the same: too many lines, set too small, in a font with thin strokes, so the postcode is the first thing to go illegible. The layout here is built around the constraint that matters, which is that the whole block has to be readable at about 55mm wide on a rough envelope.

What should go on a business address stamp?
The business name, the street, the town, the postcode or ZIP, and the country if you post abroad. A phone number or website can go underneath in smaller type. Anything beyond that starts costing you legibility.
What size should an address stamp be?
Around 55 by 20mm for a return address, which fits the corner of a standard envelope without crowding the postage. Bigger stamps exist for letterheads and packing slips.
Can I use it on invoices as well as envelopes?
Yes, and most people do. The same block works as a footer on an invoice or a quotation, which is why it is worth setting the type properly once.
Can I add our logo to the address stamp?
Yes, on the left of the block or above it. Keep it small: the address is the thing being read, and a logo that competes with it makes both harder.
