Uploading a JPEG logo into a seal usually produces a white rectangle sitting inside a circle. The logo is fine; the background it came with is not, and removing it by hand means an image editor and a selection tool.

Questions
My logo is a JPEG. Will that work?
Yes. A JPEG cannot carry transparency, which is exactly the problem, so the white background is removed on upload rather than being left as a box.
What if my logo is not on white?
A near-white or light background is handled the same way. A logo on a strong colour is a harder case, and a PNG that is already transparent will always give the cleanest result.
Can I keep the logo in its own colours?
You can, though a stamp normally reads better in a single ink. Both are available, so try the preview both ways.
Do I own the result?
The stamp is yours to use commercially. That covers what the tool generates and does not transfer rights in the logo you uploaded, which were yours or somebody else’s already.
