Every preview on this page carries a faint Estamplab watermark. Your own download does not: the editor renders your stamp again, clean, as a transparent PNG, an SVG or a PDF. See the full template library.

Certifying copies is a volume job. A client sends eight scanned pages and needs each one marked, signed and dated, and the traditional method is to print all eight, stamp all eight, sign all eight and scan all eight back in. The stamp is the part that can be done once and applied everywhere: place it on the first page, put one on every page, and the whole set comes back certified in a single download.

Questions

What does a certified true copy stamp say?

Usually CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF THE ORIGINAL, then a line for the certifier signature, their name in capitals, their capacity, and the date. Where a registration or membership number is required it goes under the name. The exact wording differs by jurisdiction and by the body asking for the copy.

Who is allowed to certify a copy?

That is set by the jurisdiction and by whoever is asking. Depending on the country it may be a notary, a commissioner for oaths, a solicitor, an accountant in practice, a bank officer, or a designated public official. Check the requirement with the body that will receive the document before you certify anything, because a copy certified by the wrong person is refused.

Is this legal advice?

No. This is a design tool that describes common commercial practice. What certification means, who may do it and what the stamp must say are governed by the authority that receives the document.

Can I certify a copy I have no authority to certify?

No. Applying a certification stamp when you are not entitled to use it is forgery, whatever the document is. The stamp only means something because the person applying it holds the capacity it names.

Can I stamp all forty pages of a bundle?

Yes, one on every page in one action. For a recurring run of bundles there is a bulk service, which is worth asking about if this is a weekly job rather than an occasional one.

Estamplab is a design tool. This page describes common commercial practice rather than giving legal, tax or financial advice, and practice changes. Where a specific document matters, check the requirement with the body receiving it. Only produce a mark your own organisation or your own credentials are entitled to use.
