A partnership sits between a sole proprietorship and a company, and its stamp reflects that. There is no incorporation and usually no registration number of the kind a company has, so the mark cannot point at a companies registry. What it points at instead is the firm name and the partner who signed, which is the thing a bank or a counterparty actually wants to establish, because in most partnership law any partner can bind the firm in the ordinary course of its business.

What is the format of a partnership firm stamp?
For a partnership firm, the usual format is: the firm name on the first line, "Partnership Firm" or the local equivalent underneath, then a line reading Partner with space for a signature, and the registration number if the firm is registered. Keep it to four lines. A partnership does not have a common seal in the company law sense, so a rectangular mark is more usual and more honest than a round corporate seal.
How is it different from a company stamp?
A company stamp names a registered legal person with its own registration number, and the company is bound by people acting with its authority. A partnership is the partners, so the mark names the firm and the partner signing is the one binding it. Putting "Pvt Ltd" or "Limited" on a partnership stamp is the mistake to avoid, because it asserts an incorporation that does not exist.
Do we need a seal for a partnership deed?
Whether a deed needs a seal, and whether it needs to be executed on stamped paper, comes from the law where the firm is and from the registrar, not from general practice. Ask the registrar or a local lawyer before executing it. The firm stamp itself is ordinary and you can make it yourself.
What about an LLP?
An LLP is a body corporate and does have a registration number, so its stamp reads more like a company one: the LLP name in full including the LLP suffix, the LLP identification number, and a line for the designated partner. Use the company seal layout rather than this one.
Can any partner use the stamp?
That is a question about your partnership agreement rather than about the stamp. In most partnership law each partner can bind the firm in the ordinary course of business, which is exactly why control of the mark matters and why the signing partner should be named on the impression rather than left blank.
