Every preview on this page carries a faint Estamplab watermark. Your own download does not: the editor renders your stamp again, clean, as a transparent PNG, an SVG or a PDF. See the full template library.
A spreadsheet has no pages until something decides where they break, and that is the whole difficulty with sealing one. Insert a picture in Excel and it is anchored to a cell, so it moves when a column is resized, hides when a row is filtered, and prints in a different place from where you left it, or off the edge entirely. The seal on a quotation, a certificate of analysis or a signed price list has to land in a predictable spot on the printed sheet. Uploading the file means it is paginated first, the way it will print, and the seal goes on a page rather than on a cell.
What you get
- The workbook is laid out into printable pages first, so you place the seal on the page you can see.
- The seal is not anchored to a cell, so filtering, sorting or resizing a column cannot move it.
- It keeps its proportions, so the round seal stays round when the sheet is scaled to fit.
- Drawn into the page, so a recipient cannot lift it out into their own workbook.
- Your original .xlsx is untouched and stays editable, formulas and all.
- Works on the sheet you choose rather than stamping the whole workbook.
How to make it
- Open the tool and drop your PDF, Word or Excel file onto the page.
- Pick a stamp from your library, or design one in the pop-up designer.
- Click the page where the stamp goes, then drag it or resize it from the corner.
- Download the stamped copy. Your original file is never modified.
Questions
How do I put a company seal on an Excel spreadsheet?
Upload the .xlsx, and the workbook is laid out as the pages it will print as. Click the page where the seal belongs and download the sealed copy. Your original file is not modified.
Why does my image move when I sort or filter?
Because Excel anchors a picture to the cells under it. Move, filter or resize those cells and the picture follows, or disappears with a hidden row. A seal placed on the page rather than on a cell has nothing to follow.
Why does the seal print in the wrong place?
Usually because the print area, the scaling or the page breaks differ from what you see on screen. Sealing a paginated view avoids that: what you place is what prints, because you are placing it on the printed page.
Will my formulas still work?
In your original file, yes, and it is untouched. The sealed copy is a finished document rather than a working spreadsheet, which is the point of sealing it.
Does it work with .xls files?
No, only .xlsx. The older .xls is a different binary format. Open it and save it as .xlsx first, which takes a few seconds.
Can I seal every sheet in the workbook?
Place the seal on the sheets that need it rather than all of them. Most workbooks want the seal on the summary or the quotation sheet, not on the working data behind it.
