Making one
Can I create my own stamps? Yes, and for most business marks there is nothing stopping you. A company stamp is not issued by anybody: you design it and use it. The exceptions are marks tied to a licence or an office, which are covered further down.
How do I make my own digital stamp? Pick a shape, type the wording, add a logo if you have one, and download it. Designing and previewing are free here with no account, and you pay only for the file. The longer version is create a digital stamp.
How can I make a homemade stamp? With a carving block and a gouge, if you want a physical one. That is a craft rather than a shortcut, and it is genuinely bad at text. See carve your own rubber stamp and making one at home step by step.

Getting hold of one
How can I get a digital stamp? Design it and download it, which takes about three minutes. There is nothing to order and nothing to wait for.

Where can I get a physical stamp? A local stamp shop, an online stamp supplier, or a print shop for embossers. All five routes are compared honestly in where to make a custom stamp, and four of them are not us.
Is there a stamp maker near me? Probably, and for envelopes it may well be the right answer. For anything that arrives as a PDF, a file beats a die.
Company seals
How can I get a company seal? Design it. In most jurisdictions a company seal is not issued or registered by anybody, so there is no authority to apply to. Whether you need one at all is answered in company seals: are they still required.
How do I create a digital company seal? Same as any round mark: the registered name in the ring, the registration number in the centre, the town or jurisdiction on the lower ring. Five worked examples are in company stamp samples.
What is the difference between a company stamp and a company seal? The stamp is the everyday identity mark on invoices and letters. The seal is the more formal instrument, conventionally round, historically used to execute documents. See corporate seal or corporate stamp.
Digital against physical
What is the difference between a digital stamp and a rubber stamp? A digital stamp is an image applied to a file or printed with the page. A rubber stamp is a physical die that puts ink on paper. Most business documents are files now, which is the whole argument, set out in why company stamps went digital.
Can I still get a physical one made from this? Yes. Download the SVG or print-ready PDF and take it to a stamp maker. A vector is a far better brief than a photograph of your letterhead.
The ones with rules attached
Can I make a notary seal, an engineer seal or a doctor stamp? Yes, if the commission, licence or registration is yours. Those marks belong to the person they were issued to, and the layout is usually set by the board rather than by taste. See stamp or seal by profession.
Can I make a government or court seal? No. Those belong to the office and applying one you do not hold is forgery. What you can make is your own organisation's mark for the covering letter. See official stamps.
Are digital stamps legally valid? It depends on the document and the jurisdiction rather than on the stamp. Plenty of everyday commercial documents are accepted with an applied mark; some official filings require a wet impression or a certificate.
